I've been a musician and audio engineer for 30 years. That time on both sides of the glass shapes how I hear a song: I know what an artist is reaching for because I've been there myself.
My mixing and mastering is hybrid. The computer handles editing, recall and precision work, but the sound comes from boutique analog hardware. Tracks run through tube compression, passive EQ and Class-A circuits to pick up the weight, depth and harmonic color that plugins only approximate.
Converting in and out through Prism Sound and Dangerous Music converters keeps that analog character intact on the way back to digital.
